By using mtfujitoday.com or the Mt Fuji Today mobile app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. These terms apply to everyone, whether you browse anonymously, subscribe to the newsletter or use the app.

Mt Fuji Today publishes a visibility score, weather and volcanic data, live webcams, viewpoint guides, transport information and trip planning tools. All of it is informational.

The visibility score is a model built on public weather data. It estimates how likely the summit is to be visible, it is not a guarantee that you will see it. Local fog, banner cloud on the summit and fast changing conditions can differ from the forecast.

Do not use this service as your only source for any decision where safety matters. That includes climbing Mt Fuji, hiking, driving in snow, aviation, and any response to seismic or volcanic activity.

• Follow the Japan Meteorological Agency and local authorities for weather and volcanic warnings.
• Follow the official trail authorities for climbing season dates, permits, fees and closures.
• Treat opening hours, prices, timetables and fees here as indicative and verify with the operator.

You agree not to:

• scrape, mirror or bulk download the site, or overload it with automated requests;
• republish our scores, datasets or guides as your own product without written permission;
• attempt to access admin areas, other users' data or any non public part of the backend;
• use the service to break Japanese law or local rules at viewpoints and private property.

Reasonable personal use, quoting with a link back, and using our public embed badge are all fine.

Our text, layout, design, logo, illustrations and the visibility scoring model are owned by us or licensed to us. Weather and seismic data belong to their original providers and remain subject to their licences. Webcam streams are embedded from their operators' YouTube channels and remain their property. Third party names and marks belong to their owners.

The service links to rail passes, tours, stays, apps and travel gear, some of them affiliate links that may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. We are not the seller, we do not handle your booking or payment, and any purchase is governed by that partner's own terms, cancellation rules and privacy policy. Disputes about a booking must be raised with the partner.

The app is licensed to you, not sold, for personal non commercial use on devices you own or control. Do not reverse engineer, resell or redistribute it.

If you installed it from the App Store or Google Play, that store's own terms also apply. Apple and Google are not parties to these terms, have no obligation to provide support for the app, and any store level claim should be directed to the store's usual channels. Apple and Google may enforce these terms as third party beneficiaries where their rules require it.

The app displays content that we can update over the air, so what you see may change without a new app version.

Subscribing is opt in, and every email has a one click unsubscribe link. We send visibility summaries, seasonal alerts and travel guides at the frequency you chose, and we may include affiliate links, always marked as such. We may pause or end the newsletter at any time.

The service is provided as is and as available. Upstream feeds go down, webcams go offline and maintenance happens, so we do not promise uninterrupted access or that every data point is current. We may add, change or remove features, pages and data sources at any time.

To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including missed views, missed transport, wasted travel costs or losses arising from third party bookings.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and if you are a consumer your statutory rights are unaffected.
