About

Built by people who watch Fuji every day.

Mt Fuji Today began as a private group chat between photographers and ryokan owners around Lake Kawaguchiko, pinging each other when the peak cleared. It is now a live visibility, camera and travel planning platform used by travelers worldwide.

Mission

Answer one question, honestly.

Can I see Mount Fuji today? It sounds simple. In practice, the mountain is hidden roughly two thirds of the year, and the difference between a magical clear morning and a wasted day trip is often a single weather window.

We built Mt Fuji Today to close that gap. Live cameras, hourly visibility scoring, viewpoint guides written by locals, and travel logistics that get you to the right pagoda at the right hour. No fluff, no padded blog posts, just the call you need to make today.

Honest visibility

One score, updated hourly, built from cloud cover, humidity and wind. We tell you when not to bother.

Photographer first

Tips written by people who live around the mountain. Best light, best angle, best season for each spot.

Independent rankings

Affiliate links fund the work. They never move a viewpoint up the list or change a visibility score.
