How to get to Gotemba

Gotemba sits on the east flank of Fuji and is the launch point for the Gotemba climbing trail. It is also home to Japan's biggest Premium Outlets, with a free shuttle bus from the station.

Gotemba is reached by the JR Tokaido Line and the JR Gotemba Line, both fully covered by the Japan Rail Pass. The Romancecar Fuji from Shinjuku also runs through Matsuda and continues to Gotemba on certain departures.
