How to get to Shin-Fuji

Shin-Fuji is the Tokaido Shinkansen station closest to Mount Fuji. Only Kodama services stop here, but the south face view from the station forecourt is hard to beat.

From Shin-Fuji the local Shimizu Line bus reaches Tagonoura beach for the famous Hokusai 'Great Wave' angle, and a 30 minute bus brings you to the Fujinomiya 5th station, the start of the shortest climbing route in summer.
