Highway buses are the cheapest and often the most direct way to reach Mount Fuji from Tokyo. Most routes drop you at Kawaguchiko Station with one ticket and no transfers.

How to book

Tickets are sold by Highway-Buses.jp, Willer, Kosoku Bus and Japan Bus Online in English. Seats often sell out on weekends and cherry blossom and autumn weekends - book at least a few days ahead in high season. Walk-up tickets are possible from Busta Shinjuku but not guaranteed.
