What the pass covers near Fuji
The pass covers JR lines such as the Tokaido Shinkansen to Mishima and Shin-Fuji, the JR Chuo line to Otsuki and the JR Gotemba line. The Fujikyu railway from Otsuki to Kawaguchiko is a private line and needs a separate ticket.
When the pass is worth it
A Tokyo to Fuji day trip alone rarely justifies the pass. Add a round trip to Kyoto or Osaka and the 7-day pass usually costs less than single tickets.
Buy online before you travel
You can buy the pass online and activate it at a JR office or ticket machine in Japan. Reserve seats on the right side of the train from Tokyo for the best Fuji view.
Quick tips
- Sit in seat E on westbound Shinkansen for Fuji views
